I’ve gotten some comments about the quality of wood I’ve been burning in my stove and it got me to thinking, how about using the really good stuff made to be burned in stoves, wood pellets?

Your right! They did cost around $2.00 and once i saw a 40 pound bag of pellets for like 0.89 and now their $5.88 at my local Wal*Mart! I don’t have a pellet stove i have a wood one! And i love it their is so much heat, I didn’t use the heater for like 6 years cause of the stove! But anyway if you are planning to buy a pellet stove, don’t! You are just throwing money away! But a nice wood stove! they are much cheaper and are much cheaper to run!

Pellets cost way to much…jusy 3 years ago pellets were $2.25 a 40 pound bag.Now they are roughly $6.00 a bag, thats $300.00 a ton if you live in a cold climate thats roughly $1200.00 for pellets…get real. I have a Lopi pellet stove which I might add are the highest quality pellet stove you can possibly get. I use to use a wood stove which was cheaper ($450.00) for a load of logs about 10 face cord which would last all winter. I’m going back to wood. you are all being ripped off!!!!!!!
